Me, My Friends, and Them...

Hello people of Earth or whatever planet you're from. It's me, the Shinigami Tamer here. When I'm talking about me I'm talking about myself, obviously. When I'm talking about my friends then its my friends that I'm talking about. And when I'm talking about them, its just them. So yeah, thats just the way things are. To protect my innocence, I shall use codenames for the members of the Them group. As for my friends, I feel safe enough using their real names. And for me, you shall know me as Haruka Shinigami, or the Shinigami Tamer.

We The Kings...

I can't believe my uncle bought me the $15 We The Kings album and I don't owe him anything. Yayz. Secret Valentine is the most messed up song on the entire album. I mean, the beat is good but the lyrics are just messed up. Skyway Avenue is the second best song in my opinion. Good beat, nice lyrics, all that stuff. Check Yes Juliet is definetly, by far, the best song that We The Kings has ever written. Well, in my opinion it is. I like it so much that I've already listened to it about 15 times today. :] Stay Young is a good song. Third place in my ratings of this album. Whoa is good. August Is Over is good too. The Quiet is somewhat good. It has a weird opening. Don't Speak Liar is great. If I had to rate it it would get 4th place. And yeah, the other songs are good too I'm just too tired to write more about this CD right now. We The Kings is a great band and that's all I'm going to say. Oh yeah, if you want to buy this CD I suggest you head over to the closest Borders Books & Music as soon as possible. Yeah, that's where I got mine. So yeah, the album title is We The Kings and the artist is We The Kings. Like that wasn't obvious enough. LOL.

Listening music so loud I'm sure it's gonna make my ears bleed,

Pikachu Rapist Prank Calls...

I talked to my friend the Pikachu Rapist around ten times today. Every call started out like a prank call. In one he pretended that he was some random restraunt person. In another he pretended that he was an intern at some company and put us on hold with Linkin Park music. In another one Alda picked up and said "Suicide Hotline, how may we help you?" One of the funniest ones was when my brother picked up the phone and said "Sex hotline, how may we please you?" Really funny since my brother was talking to the Pikachu Rapist. So yeah, now I know that if someone calls me and it says Pikachu Rapist on my phone I will not pick up. So yeah, Pikachu Rapist, if you're reading this, stop calling me to waste my time.

Listening to funny prank calls,

Oct. 12 in Santa Cruz...

Today I went to the Santa Cruz with my brother, uncle, and Alda. We spent an entire hour waiting for food at Denny's. After we ate we all drove to the beach. We walked on the beach for a couple of hours. As we walked toward the boardwalk we (as in Alda and I) drew chibis in the wet sand. They look a bit demented but were still cute. I wish I had a camera because I wanted to take pictures of them. Then we went and walked on the boardwalk. We stopped at this dart booth and stared at the prizes, which were guitars, for about 30 minutes. My uncle tried to win us a guitar but he missed the red stars so yeah, no guitar. :[ We walked toward the mini golf section and we stared at the pirate things for around 15 minutes. Then we were bored of staring at useless things so we paid a dollar to watch the Ask The Brain thing. Bullcrap. So funny. We walked around the arcade place and eventually went back toward the beach. On the way back toward from the boardwalk we (Alda and I, again) drew broken hearts with different couples initials in them. Like thirty times Alda drew a broken heart that was sewn together again with the initials AL and AC. Quite funny. When we got back to the beach we were originally on we looked at this cliff wall and we found a drawing of a heart with the initials AL + AC in it. So very funny. I had to climb up the cliff nearly 7 times to take photos of it. I'm still laughing at that. Then we had to come home. Alda came over to my house and we played rockband for like an hour but then she had to go home. And now I'm posting this. Awesome.

Laughing my head off still,

The Events of Another Random Day...

Today I went over to my friend Alda's house. Geena and Alvin showed up later. We hung out for a while, pet Alda's kitty, and practice (while, Alda and I did) Skyway Avenue. I still suck at playing that song. Alda kept hitting and hugging Alvin. And like 1,000 times today she told him "you have abs" and "20 pack." LOL. After hanging out and playing guitar and singing and stuff we walked to Starbucks-yeah there's a Starbucks near her house. It was kinda annoying going to Starbucks because all the tables inside were taken so we had to sit outside. I had no money so Alvin bought my frappicino for me. It was so cold and Alda, Alvin, and I had the caramel frappicino which so did not help with the freezing temperature. Geena was the only smart one of our group because she got hot chocolate. After like 2 minutes outside Alda randomly said, "I just realized that it's cold outside." She kept complaining that she was freezing so eventually Alvin gave his jacket to her. By the time we were all done with our drinks Alvin was freezing too and kept begging Alda to give him his jacket back but she wouldn't give it back because she was still cold too. So we went to PW and it was warmer inside there than it was outside so we walked around randomly. Eventually we got tired of that and as we were walking out the door we saw a food bank bin for Alda's high school, which was so random. After we got over the food bank bin we walked back to Alda's house. We practiced guitar some more, but Geena soon had to leave. After Geena left Alvin played the piano (actually a keyboard). We kept changing the sound of the keyboard from piano to spacepad, violin/trumpet, strings1, and other really random things. When you play a song on the strings1 setting on Alda's keyboard it sounds so much more depressing than it actually is. Around 6, Alvin had to leave and I left soon after that because Alda supposively had to go to dinner with her cousin but after we all left we found out that we could have stayed longer. So yeah, random day. Alda was being random and crazy as always and every ten seconds either punched Alvin or gave him a hug. And I still suck at playing Skyway Avenue.

Waiting for another day we can waste hanging out,

I miss you all~

Peanut Butter Jelly Time...

Peanut butter jelly time! Peanut butter jelly time! I'm seriously beginning to wonder who created that song. My brother just randomly began singing it before I started writing this post. That song is so old too. We sang it in elementary school and people still sing it (even in middle school and high school). Weird. So yeah, peanut butter jelly time. I think I'll have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch tomorrrow.

I Learn in a Musical Way...

Yesterday I learned that I learn best through music. I am music obsessed so I was kinda expecting that. I like to tap my fingers to a beat and hum. I prefer to have music playing when I'm doing homework or studying. I also like to play musical instruments-bass guitar, violin, and trumpet. I'm in music class at school. So it's kinda obvious that I learn in a musical way. In second place for the way I learn is naturalist-nature. I observe nature and things around me. The third way that I learn is spacial-visual. Drawing, and other artistic things. So it appears that I learn in many different ways. The way I learn least is logical/mathematical. I'm sorry (not really) but I just hate math-even though I'm good at it. So in a quick overview, I now know that I learn in many different ways, but best with musical things.

Lost in my own thoughts,

Campfire...

Well I went to a campfire and guess what, there was no fire due to the red flag alert. So we just went, ate food, ran around, talked, played games, and froze our asses off. I'm serious, it was freezing up in the mountains. Whoever decided to place the Youth Campsite on the side of a mountain was nuts. A) There is absolutely no cell phone signal there. B) It's the side of a mountain for crying out loud. C) Side of mountain, it's freezing and windy up there. D) People, especially the little kids who were there, can easily get lost up in the mountains. So yeah, having a campsite on the side of a mountain is not smart. I mean, even the tables are tilting down the mountain. Sitting at the tables makes you feel like you're going to start tumbling down the mountain. It's a bit uncomfortable and unnerving. Plus it was freezing up there. I was wearing leggings under my jeans, skirt, a t-shirt, tanktop, long sleeve thermal shirt, and a sweatshirt and it was still freezing. It was kinda awesome though. A bit funny too. This third grader named Ryan beat up these sixth graders who go to my school. Hilarious. Now those sixth graders are scared of Ryan. I mean, what type of sixth grader is afraid of an elementary school kid? A weak scaredy-cat one I guess. So overall I had a good time at the campfire that had no fire, but it was still freezing, on the side of a mountain, and there was no cell phone reception.

Still cold, much too cold,

Pictures...

Well today the 8th graders (yes, I'm in eighth grade) had to take our gown photos for the yearbook. Not fun, not fun at all. I was at the end of the line and it took forever. While at least the other teacher didn't have a class my period so it went by faster than most the other classes. Luckily for me I got to take my picture first period-before I had to go to PE. I still don't get why they didn't let the 8th graders out of PE. I mean, most of the girls did their hair all neat and tried to make themselves perfect looking (I'm not that type of girl). And PE just so happens to get your hair and make up messy. So yeah, we had photos today and it was totally not fun. Mostly because of all the preperation needed to take this picture. I generally don't like to have my picture taken so I hate it more than other people.

While, I'm bored, again. But I bet you knew that because I'm always bored. Unfortunately I have to go to campfire tonight and guess what...it's going to be freezing.

Trying not to freeze myself,

Skyway Avenue...

My uncle fixed my distortion amplifier for my guitar today, which is awesome. So now I have my bass amp and my distortion amp. Yayz. It sounds a bit weird to play bass guitar with distortion but it also sounds kinda cool. It's origional, that's for sure, since distortion is usually for normal guitar. While, my band has always been a bit odd. I'm currently trying to play Skyway Avenue by We The Kings. A request by my band leader, aka Alda (our lead guitarist and singer). It's kinda hard without the music, but I'll practice tomorrow when I can play the music at the same time. As soon as I finish learning Skyway Avenue I'm probably going to learn how to play Check Yes Juliet by We The Kings (another request from Alda, of course). I actually want to learn how to play Viva La Vida by Coldplay. I love that song. It's awesome. Skyway Avenue and Check Yes Juliet are good also, but Viva La Vida is way better. So, I'm just gonna have to practice bass guitar a lot. Which, even though is awesome, is time consuming because I also have cross-country for another week and have to practice trumpet for band class. Oh well. Practice makes perfect. I guess.

Staring at guitar tabs,

I've Learned Something...

I've learned that today's youth is being wasted. Controlled by the computer, adults, and other things. Teenagers don't think their own thoughts and can't make their own decisions. These days people just sit around at the computer (much like I'm doing at the current moment-though it's not the only thing that I do). Many teenagers these days cannot even spell the simplest of words because they use spell check on the computer 24/7. Today's youth is a society of controlled-by the computer and the endless amount of media that is currently out there-and mindless freaks who can't think for themselves. Some teenagers have little to no social skills and would most likely die in today's society. Many kids cheat during test ands copy things straight off the internet and stare aimlessly at their textbooks, not learning a thing. Teens steal answers, copy their friends homework, stare at textbooks, and read reviews of books their supposed to read on the internet. I think that today's teens (even though I'm a teen too, I'm not like this) have become mindless and have every decision made for them.

What a Wonderful Day...

Well, my life is shit. Why, you might ask. Well that's simple. First, very nearly all of my friends are gone because they all just so happen to be in high school now. Second, I've been told that someone-though I believe that it was Princess (the most hated [by me] of the Them group)-changed my mile oh so great mile time of 7 min. 58 sec. to 12 min. Though I have no proof that this one is actually true, I still think it might be because of the way people are these days. Third, I had a playing test in music today, and even though i played well during it, I'm still not sure of my grade on it. Oh yeah, tests are 20% of my music grade and I've only had one so far. Also, this I had to take this "test" right after running the mile. So yeah, my life is basically shit. You know what, today was a wonderful day compared to some of the days I've lived through. I beg you to not feel sorry for me because I know that you'd just be faking it like everyone else.

Damn it, I miss you high schoolers, or most of you anyways. I'm sorry but there are a cuople of you that I'd rather not see at the moment. Before I forget, Shawn N. came to my school today before he had to go to school himself. Only reason he came was because his high school started late today. Shawn's random appearance at my school, great or not? I'm sorry (not really) but I have to say not just because he expected us all to give him a hug. Eww.

I've been so bored recently but that's only because I've been sick and have been missing cross-country meets and other after school activities. But now that I'm over being sick, I'm totally fine. Yayz. I ran cross-country today, even though I had ran the mile for PE. I twisted my ankle during cross-country practice. Ow. But whatever. I've recently gotten more money and have bought myself a couple new manga volumes. My favorite of the new manga volume is D N Angel vol. 1. It's better than the scanlations that are on the internet. So yeah, I've been reading D N Angel and Lovely Complex but that's that.

Random Thing that Happened Today: We, as in me, Andy, Thao, Wesley, and George, were playing 13 during lunch and three times in a row Andy killed 2 of the jokers. Three times for crying out loud. It's almost like he rigged the game to always kill the jokers. Thing is, he always kills the half colored jokers and never the colored jokers, which is weird. Oh well, all I know is that Andy likes to kill the jokers when we play 13. Oh yeah, if you didn't know the way we play is where jokers are wild cards. Because we always play with three players we have to kill two cards. So yeah, Andy kills the jokers when he deals.

Wondering what wonderful thing will happen next,
-Haruka Shinigami
